“Sold Out On You” Teaser Drops — Ahn Hyo Seop, Chae Won Bin & a Love Triangle That’s Already Got Us Hooked

A grumpy farmer, a sleep-deprived show host, and a sharp-suited executive who just walked in to ruin everything. SBS’s upcoming rom-com “Sold Out On You” just released its first teaser — and the tension is absolutely delicious.

“Sold Out On You” — Everything You Need to Know

What the Teaser Tells Us

“Sold Out on You” is a romantic comedy that follows Matthew Lee — also known as “Mechoori” (“Quail”), a playful nod to how his name sounds in Korean — a farmer who juggles multiple jobs, and Dam Ye Jin, a top show host who suffers from severe insomnia. Already, the contrast between these two worlds feels fresh and full of comic potential.

The teaser wastes no time setting up the push-and-pull. Despite appearing so happy together in the opening moments, their first encounter was anything but smooth — they address each other stiffly, bicker over every interaction, and Matthew Lee ignores Dam Ye Jin’s handshake, constantly avoids her, and puts up walls with blunt words like “I don’t like it” and “No,” leaving her completely bewildered.

But underneath the friction, something quietly grows. Sharing the common trait of always giving their best in whatever they do, they slowly start to understand each other’s hearts. soompi That slow-burn chemistry built on mutual respect — rather than instant attraction — is exactly what makes a rom-com worth investing in.

Enter Kim Bum — And the Trouble Begins

Just when things between Matthew and Ye Jin start to soften, the teaser throws a curveball. Seo Eric introduces himself as an executive director at Étoile, a cosmetics company, approaches Dam Ye Jin first, and engages in close conversation with her in front of Matthew Lee — creating immediate tension.

Kim Bum stepping into a love triangle is the kind of casting move that turns a good drama into a great one. His natural charisma as a rival is practically guaranteed to ignite the competitive fire in Ahn Hyo Seop’s character.

The drama taps into the beloved romantic comedy genre formula — enemies-to-lovers, love triangles, and slow-burn tension — but the unique character pairing of a farmer and a celebrity host gives it a distinctly fresh identity.
