What sets the dogs apart, according to the developers, is temperament. While cats brought a certain unpredictable charm, the dogs in this app are designed to be a touch more obedient, occasionally even mindful of staying out of your way while you work. Of course, a few mischief-makers are part of the pack too — but reportedly nothing compared to their feline counterparts.

Sill Dogs follows a free-to-play model, letting users welcome two breeds right out of the gate at no cost. For those wanting a bigger digital kennel, additional breeds will be available through paid DLC, priced at $1.99 each — a low-commitment way to expand your desktop companions over time.

Kenji Kato, Representative Director at SQOOL, shared that the overwhelming response to Sill Cats inspired the studio to create a version for dog lovers. He noted that while many users embraced the unpredictable charm of cats, others gravitated toward the loyalty dogs are known for — and Sill Dogs was built specifically with that audience in mind.
