VfB Stuttgart cooperated with the DFB when documentation revealed the striker’s original name and age to confirm the truth of the matter.

When Silas was asked about the occurrence he stated he was a victim of manipulation due to his former agent who reportedly forced to generate false records from Congo for an easier transition into the DFB.

He stated this always made him live with the fear of getting caught.

Stuttgart sporting director Sven Mislintat stated, “It was clear to him and us that Silas would be sanctioned by the DFB and according to the statutes it has to be like that.”

“The judgment also takes into account the special circumstances of his case. We are happy that the sports court aspect at DFB level is now closed for Silas.”
