Like Father, Like Son: Thalapathy Vijay’s Son Jason Sanjay Steps Into the Spotlight with Sigma’s First Rap Single — and It Slaps!

Kollywood just got its newest creative force — and yes, the surname says it all. Jason Sanjay, son of the legendary Thalapathy Vijay, is making his directorial debut with Sigma, and the first single Sigma Style has already given fans a strong reason to be excited. Peppy, punchy, and loaded with energy — the track announces a fresh new voice behind the camera in South Indian cinema.

Sigma — All You Need to Know

The Song That Kicked It All Off

The debut single Sigma Style has been composed by Thaman S, who also lends his own vocals to the track alongside Smile Tupakeys and MC Rude, with Harsha D providing supporting vocals. The result is a high-energy rap number that perfectly sets the tone for what promises to be a slick, fun entertainer.

What makes this extra special? Jason Sanjay himself appears in the song, making it his onscreen debut as well — so this single is literally a double debut moment. Fans are here for every second of it.

What Is Sigma About?

The film centres around a “lone wolf” protagonist who defies societal norms, embarks on a hunt for hidden treasures, and navigates high-stakes heists — think swag, action, and comedy all rolled into one masala package. Beyond Sundeep Kishan and Faria Abdullah, the supporting cast includes Anbu Thasan, Yog Japee, Sampath Raj, and several others.

What Does Sundeep Kishan Think of Jason Sanjay?

Sundeep Kishan has spoken glowingly about Jason, describing him as an extremely hardworking young filmmaker who had invested heavily in both pre-production and the editing process, and adding that anyone working with him could learn a great deal about patience.

The actor also pointed out that Jason had formally studied filmmaking and editing, remarking that it had been a long time since he worked with such a young director — and that Sanjay bore a strong physical resemblance to his father Thalapathy Vijay while being one of the most grounded and humble people he had encountered.

High praise indeed. And coming from a seasoned actor like Sundeep Kishan, that means a lot. For more on South Indian cinema updates, Tamil film releases, and all things Kollywood, head over to TechnoSports’ entertainment section and stay updated.
