In a very real sense, Paul has “jimmied” the protagonist, inserting himself into the difficult parts of his life to force a positive change.

Paul tells Jimmy: “Either stay stuck, or go make some new scars.” The season ends with Paul leaving for the airport and Jimmy walking up to Sofi’s table and sitting down for breakfast.
