A Royal Affair Dressed in Manish Malhotra

Dhawan looked every bit the groom in a white-on-white sherwani featuring tonal embroidery and a layered emerald mala — classic yet regal. Sophie complemented him beautifully in a contemporary lehenga choli with coral, peach, and sage-green floral motifs on ivory silk, styled with intricate mehendi and a delicate maang tikka. The fusion of traditional Indian elements with her modern blonde waves and dewy makeup was nothing short of breathtaking.

The couple announced their marriage with a simple yet heartwarming post: “Mr. & Mrs. Dhawan.”

Meanwhile, Yuzvendra Chahal — one of Dhawan’s closest friends in cricket — showed up to celebrate his buddy, captioning his photos: “Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai.”

From Dubai to Delhi — Their Love Story

The two were first spotted together at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai, and Dhawan himself hinted at the relationship during a media conclave. The pre-wedding festivities kicked off on February 20 with a haldi ceremony, followed by mehendi, choora, and a beautiful sangeet where Dhawan affectionately called Sophie “Almost Dhawan.”

This is Shikhar’s second marriage. He was previously married to Aesha Mukerji for 11 years before their separation in October 2023. The couple have two daughters together.

Sophie Shine, 33, is Irish-born, educated at Castleroy College, and currently serves as Second Vice President at Northern Trust in Abu Dhabi — a powerhouse in her own right.
