The Near-Misses: Why Shark Tanks Reject Good Ideas
Flashoot pitched real-time content creation—a marketplace connecting brands with trained smartphone videographers. The concept was solid. The market was real. But the Sharks worried about venture capitalist challenges: AI editing tools disrupting the space and scaling difficulties in a saturated creator economy.
NapTapGo and BLR Pods both pitched capsule hotels, a concept that works globally. Yet the Sharks questioned unit economics and the niche market size in India’s budget accommodation space. Sometimes, being ahead of the curve means the market isn’t ready yet.
