K-drama fans, get ready — a new sports drama lineup just got a whole lot more exciting. Seo Eun Soo has officially joined Kim Woo Bin in tvN’s upcoming baseball drama “Gift” (literal title), and the casting news alone has fans buzzing about what promises to be one of the year’s most heartfelt underdog stories.
What’s the Story?
Based on a popular webtoon, “Gift” follows Jung Min Yong, a former pro pitching coach played by Kim Woo Bin, who gains a rare gift after an accident: the ability to instantly spot a player’s baseball talent with a single glance. His mission? Turn the country’s worst high school baseball team into something worth cheering for.
That’s where Seo Eun Soo comes in. She plays Yoon Seo Jin, a PE teacher and head of the school’s baseball team, described by her agency as someone with a strong sense of justice, forged through years of hard work. She and Jung Min Yong clash early on, but eventually find their own way to work together for the sake of their struggling team.

Why This Pairing Works
Kim Woo Bin returning to dramas is always newsworthy, but adding Seo Eun Soo’s PE-teacher-with-a-backbone character gives “Gift” the kind of will-they-clash-or-collaborate energy that made shows like Baseball-themed sports dramas so beloved in Korean television. Their dynamic — mentor versus team leader, both stubborn in their own ways — sets up exactly the kind of chemistry fans love to watch develop episode by episode.

What’s Next
With a second-half 2026 premiere on tvN, there’s still time to catch up on both leads’ recent work. In the meantime, Seo Eun Soo’s performance in “Unlock My Boss” is a great way to get familiar with her range before “Gift” arrives.
