Yes — the group behind “Shy Boy,” “Madonna,” and “Magic” is actually returning. And the internet is losing it.

Why Isn’t the Full Original Lineup Returning?
5 Although Secret never officially disbanded, the group has not been active in nearly a decade. After debuting together in 2009 under TS Entertainment, Secret promoted as a four-member group up until 2016, when Han Sun Hwa announced her departure from both the group and the agency. 3 Former member Han Sun Hwa, who left the group in 2016 to pursue acting, will not be participating in the reunion. Song Ji Eun is also absent from the comeback lineup as she has recently been focusing on her married life. 3 In particular, the absence of Song Ji Eun, widely recognized as the group’s main vocalist, has left many longtime fans disappointed. That said, the fact that Jun Hyosung and Jung Hana are leading this new chapter — potentially with a mystery new member — has many fans cautiously optimistic.
How Fans Are Reacting
The reaction has been a mix of nostalgia, excitement, and honest debate. 3Supportive fans commented sentiments like “It’s unfortunate Song Ji Eun isn’t joining, but I’ll still support them.” 3As the group prepares for its long-awaited return, fans are curious to see what kind of musical transformation the new lineup will bring.2 To kick off the reunion, Hyosung and Hana went to their old salon from their early career days, reuniting with their hairstylist and makeup artist, and transforming into their “Shy Boy” look from 2011. The nostalgia was *palpable*.
