Samsung Galaxy A32’s new update brings Android 12 along with OneUI 4.1

Samsung has released the Android 12 OS update to the Galaxy A32, the latest update has been unveiled in India, while other countries could get this update in the coming weeks. The 5G version of this device the Galaxy A32 5G had gotten the Android 12 OS update a few weeks earlier.

The Android 12 update for the Galaxy A32 arrives with the A325FXXU2BVD6 version of the firmware. It also brings April 2022 security patch that fixes nearly 80 privacy and security issues.

If you are a user of the Galaxy A32 and reside in India, you are eligible to install the latest update by going to Settings > Software update and then clicking on Download and Install. You can download the latest firmware file externally as well, however, we do not recommend it.

What’s new with this OneUI 4.1 update?

The Android 12 update for the Galaxy A32 brings a refreshed UI design with the Color Palette feature, new widget designs, improved AoD, Dark Mode, improved sharing menu, and more lock screen widgets. Samsung has improvised its stock apps, such as the Calendar, Samsung Messages, Samsung My Files, Samsung Internet, and Samsung Keyboard.

The Gallery app now allows you to remove date, time, and location information when you share images. It also creates better stories from your pictures and videos along with a simpler way of sorting your albums. Samsung Keyboard gets animated emoji pairs and a quick access bar for stickers and GIFs.

The audio output location can now be changed directly from the lock screen, the camera app has been brushed up on, and video recording now starts as soon as you touch the shutter button in the Video mode. This update also brings Portrait mode for pets and it adds an enhanced document scanning feature.

AR emojis now get up to 10 poses or expressions, you can make your own dance moves for AR emojis, and use them as a profile picture for your Samsung account. In addition to this, you can design your own clothes, use them as a face masks during video calls, and more. Samsung DeX, Edge panels, and picture-in-picture have been enhanced.

Privacy and security have been improved as well, there is now an exclusive Privacy Dashboard, quick setting toggles to enable/disable camera and mic across the system, and privacy indicators for active camera and mic usage staus. You can now choose if you want apps to use your precise location or not. The phone also notifies you when any app or service accesses your clipboard data.
