Digital Banking Made Easier

AU Small Finance Bank, India’s largest small finance bank, received in-principle approval from RBI in August 2025 to transition into a universal bank, marking a significant milestone in its evolution. The Samsung Wallet integration aligns with AU Bank’s commitment to digital innovation and customer-first banking.

“We are delighted to partner with AU Small Finance Bank to bring the convenience and security of Samsung Wallet to more users across India,” said Madhur Chaturvedi, Senior Director, Services & Apps Business, Samsung India.

The feature works exactly like traditional contactless card transactions but with added security layers. Users can access their cards by swiping up from the home or lock screen, authenticate with fingerprint or PIN, and tap to complete payments instantly.

Growing Digital Payment Ecosystem

This partnership expands Samsung Wallet’s reach in India’s competitive digital payments market. The service already supports major payment networks including AMEX, Mastercard, and Visa, alongside UPI functionality for comprehensive payment solutions.

AU Bank’s Executive Director Uttam Tibrewal emphasized that the integration represents another step toward providing seamless digital experiences that enhance customer lifestyles in a mobile-first banking ecosystem.
