Samsung Price Hike Alert: Galaxy A17, A27, F17 & A07 5G Now Cost Up to ₹14,500 More in India

Just days before the festive shopping season kicks off, Samsung has quietly raised prices across four of its most popular budget and mid-range Galaxy phones in India — the A17, A27, F17, and A07 5G. Effective September 2, the hikes range from a modest ₹1,000 to a steep ₹14,500, reportedly driven by rising memory chip costs squeezing margins industry-wide.

Samsung Price Hike: Meet the Phones Getting Pricier

Galaxy A17 5G — Biggest Hike of the Bunch

The A17 packs a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, powered by Samsung’s Exynos 1330 chipset. It features a 50MP OIS-stabilized main camera alongside 5MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro lenses, a 13MP selfie shooter, and a 5,000mAh battery with 25W charging. Samsung backs it with six years of OS and security updates.

With Travel Adapter (TA), pricing has jumped sharply: 6/128GB goes from ₹19,499 to ₹29,999 (+₹10,500), 8/128GB from ₹20,999 to ₹32,999 (+₹12,000), and 8/256GB from ₹23,999 to ₹38,499 (+₹14,500) — the steepest hike on this entire list. Without TA, the increases are gentler: 6/128GB rises from ₹24,499 to ₹27,999, 8/128GB from ₹27,499 to ₹30,999, and 8/256GB from ₹32,999 to ₹36,499.

Galaxy A27 5G — Mid-Range Contender

Stepping up the segment, the A27 brings a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, a 6.7-inch 120Hz Super AMOLED display, and a 50MP main camera with OIS, paired with 5MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro sensors. It runs Android 16 with One UI 8.5 out of the box and packs a 5,000mAh battery with 25W charging.

Pricing here rises more modestly: 6/128GB moves from ₹31,999 to ₹33,999, 8/128GB from ₹34,999 to ₹38,999, and the top 8/256GB variant from ₹40,499 to ₹45,499 — now Samsung’s priciest device on this list.

Galaxy F17 5G — Budget Favorite

A close cousin of the A17, the F17 offers the same Exynos 1330 chipset, a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display, and an identical 50MP+5MP+2MP camera setup with a 13MP front camera. Its 5,000mAh battery with 25W charging rounds out a familiar, dependable package.

Every variant has received a uniform ₹3,500 hike: 4/128GB climbs from ₹19,999 to ₹23,499, 6/128GB from ₹22,999 to ₹26,499, and 8/128GB from ₹25,999 to ₹29,499 — pushing the entry-level model above ₹20,000 for the first time.

Galaxy A07 5G — Entry-Level Battery Champion

The most affordable of the four, the A07 5G stands out with a massive 6,000mAh battery and a 120Hz HD+ LCD display, powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chip. It sports a 50MP main camera with a 2MP depth sensor and an 8MP selfie camera.

It also carries the smallest hikes here: 4/128GB rises from ₹18,999 to ₹19,999 (+₹1,000), and 6/128GB from ₹20,999 to ₹22,999 (+₹2,000) — still keeping it just under the ₹23,000 mark.

Why This Matters for Buyers

This isn’t an isolated move — OPPO, Vivo, and other manufacturers have also raised prices recently, largely blamed on a global memory chip shortage driving up component costs. If you were planning to buy any of these Galaxy phones before Big Billion Days (BBD) or other festive sales, the new, higher MRPs are already the baseline — meaning festive discounts will likely be calculated from these inflated prices rather than the older ones.
