Samsung previously announced the One UI 7 update based on Android 15 will be rolled out in April to select Galaxy smartphones. Now, the firm has confirmed the official rollout is due to begin on April 7, starting with the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6. It will be a stable update, considering that the beta version has already been launched for these devices. Samsung Confirms One UI 7 Rollout Date: Stable Update Arrives on April 7 for Select Galaxy Devices

The update will begin rolling out on April 7 and will gradually make its way to more Galaxy smartphones and tablets in the coming weeks. While the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6 will receive the update first, other eligible devices, including the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold5, Galaxy Z Flip5, and the Galaxy Tab S10 and Tab S9 series, will follow in the coming weeks.

Samsung has described One UI 7 as offering a more streamlined and cohesive user experience with a redesigned home screen and improved widgets. There is also a new Now Bar that offers updates in real-time on the lock screen, so users can see what they want with one swipe, without their phone being unlocked. With the AI Select tool, users can swipe the Edge Panel to transform videos into GIFs with a touch of an icon.

Writing Assist helps summarize and format text, while Drawing Assist allows users to create images using text prompts, sketches, or a combination of both. Audio Eraser is an advanced editing tool that can remove unwanted sounds in a video. These features were first introduced with the Galaxy S25 series and are now expanding to older devices. However, two features—Now Brief and Call Transcript—remain exclusive to the Galaxy S25 lineup, with no confirmation from Samsung on whether they will be included in future updates.
