The new Knox Matrix dashboard simplifies the process of monitoring the security of multiple Samsung devices, including smartphones, TVs, and home appliances.

With One UI 7, users can easily check if their devices are secure. A simple glance at the dashboard will show a ‘green’ status when everything is up to date and secure. One UI 7 introduces a new recovery method for Enhanced Data Protection, streamlining the process of retrieving data stored on Samsung Cloud. This feature ensures that connected devices remain synchronized and secure, providing users with a backup plan in case access to a trusted device is lost. Users can now transfer recovered data to a new device by verifying their previous device’s lock screen method—be it a PIN, pattern, or password—making data recovery seamless.

Additionally, Knox Matrix’s Credential Sync feature allows users to create and manage passkeys for their Samsung accounts. These digital credentials simplify the login process across apps, devices, and websites, enabling secure access with just a fingerprint scan on their smartphones.

Maximum Restrictions: Empowering User Control

One UI 7 enhances user control with the Maximum Restrictions feature, which provides a robust defense against cyber threats. This update introduces new controls for network connections, allowing users to block 2G service and prevent data interception on potentially unsafe networks. Users can also manage automatic reconnections to less secure Wi-Fi networks, ensuring their data remains private while still having the option to connect manually.

This update builds on existing protections for Samsung Messages and Samsung Gallery, enabling users to remove location data from shared photos, block automatic downloads, and prevent unwanted hyperlinks and shared albums.
