One UI 6 beta is now available for majority of Samsung devices

One UI 6: Late last year, Samsung introduced Android 13 to Galaxy smartphone customers. The company has done an excellent job of promptly deploying it for eligible devices. Android 13 with One UI 5.0 is currently available on tens of millions of Galaxy smartphones and tablets.

This year, the spotlight is on Android 14. In February 2023, Google released the first Android 14 Developer Preview. Google’s previews did not work on Samsung devices. Every year, the company develops its own One UI beta program, and the first One UI 6.0 beta firmware for the Galaxy S23 series went public on August 11.

Samsung has simplified its software update policies, making it simple to determine which devices will receive the Android 14 One UI 6.0 update. Many devices are now eligible for one of four Android OS upgrades. This means that modes as old as three years will receive the upgrade.

Users of Samsung smartphones can download One UI 6.0 Beta by going to the Samsung Members App on their phone. Users must click the One UI 6.0 Beta upgrade banner and then follow the on-screen instructions. The Beta update is limited to a few users, therefore interested users should act quickly because it is largely based on first come, first served.
