Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold Launches in Korea With Massive Crowds

Samsung’s revolutionary Galaxy Z TriFold officially went on sale today in Korea, drawing enthusiastic crowds who lined up at Samsung stores across Seoul. The groundbreaking triple-fold smartphone unfolds into a massive 10-inch display, marking Samsung’s boldest innovation yet as the company pushes foldable technology into the mobile AI era.

Galaxy Z TriFold Specifications

Revolutionary Triple-Fold Design

The Galaxy Z TriFold represents Samsung’s most ambitious foldable design, featuring dual hinges that unfold twice to reveal a tablet-sized 10-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen. When folded, users access a practical 6.5-inch outer display for quick tasks without opening the device. The Vision Booster technology automatically adjusts color and contrast for optimal visibility across different lighting conditions—from bright sunlight to dimly lit environments.

This transformative form factor enables unprecedented productivity through Flexible Multi-Window support, displaying three full portrait-sized apps simultaneously side-by-side. Professionals can reference documents while video conferencing and taking notes, content creators can edit videos while monitoring social feeds, and students can research multiple sources without constant app switching.

Galaxy AI Integration Powers Productivity

Samsung deeply integrated Galaxy AI throughout the TriFold experience. Photo Assist with Generative Edit transforms casual photos into professional-quality images, while Sketch to Image converts rough drawings into polished artwork instantly. Browsing Assist provides automatic summaries and real-time translations for web content, eliminating language barriers during international research or shopping.

The standout feature remains Gemini Live—Google’s multimodal AI assistant interpreting visual, verbal, and contextual inputs simultaneously. Users can point the camera at objects, ask questions naturally, and receive intelligent responses considering everything on-screen. This creates seamless interactions where AI understands both what you see and what you mean.

Strong Market Reception

Enthusiastic turnout at Samsung stores in Seoul’s Gangnam and Hongdae districts demonstrates strong consumer interest in innovative foldable designs. Early adopters recognize the TriFold’s potential for combining large-screen productivity with AI-driven efficiency in a pocketable form factor. The crowds reflect growing acceptance of foldables as mainstream devices rather than niche curiosities.

Samsung continues pushing smartphone design boundaries by developing form factors specifically optimized for AI workloads and mobile productivity. The TriFold’s massive screen real estate provides the canvas AI features need to truly shine, while advanced multitasking ensures users maximize every inch of available display space.

Premium Pricing and Expansion Plans

At 3,594,000 won (approximately $2,431 USD), the Galaxy Z TriFold commands ultra-premium pricing reflecting its cutting-edge technology and development costs. The 512GB storage model launches first in Korea today, with expansion to additional markets including China, Taiwan, Singapore, UAE, and the United States following shortly.

Samsung’s staged rollout allows the company to gather real-world usage feedback, refine manufacturing processes, and build anticipation in upcoming markets. Early adopters willing to pay premium prices help Samsung recoup research investments while providing valuable insights for future foldable iterations.

The Future of Foldables

The Galaxy Z TriFold showcases Samsung’s vision for next-generation smartphones where expandable screens meet powerful AI capabilities. By combining tablet-scale displays with pocketable portability, Samsung addresses the fundamental compromise between screen size and device portability that has limited smartphones since their inception.

As foldable technology matures and production costs decrease, triple-fold designs may eventually reach mainstream pricing. For now, the TriFold serves as Samsung’s flagship innovation demonstrating technical prowess and exploring new use cases for foldable displays.
