Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Appears on BIS Ahead of July Launch

Samsung is gearing up to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 7 in July as its next-generation premium foldable smartphone. The device was officially teased earlier this week, with Samsung promising an “Ultra-experience” tailored for foldable users.

The teaser also showcased its book-style folding design, reinforcing the company’s familiar form factor for the Fold series. With the global announcement on the way, there’s now confirmation that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is also headed to India, as the phone made an appearance on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Spotted on BIS, Launch Expected in India and Globally on July 4

The Galaxy Z Fold 7, coming with model number SM-F966B/DS, has been certified by BIS at an earlier date. This listing is consistent with model numbers previously spotted in certifications from Geekbench and China’s 3C authority. While BIS does not reveal the hardware aspects, it is a compulsory process for any electronic product launching in India, indicating the arrival of the device in the country soon.

The model has emerged less than a month later of BIS listing of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Flip 7 FE, hinting that Samsung could be planning to announce the entire lineup of its foldable devices together. It is rumoured that Samsung is preparing to release these two in New York on July 4.

As for what you can expect, Samsung teased that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be equipped with Galaxy AI, which will be tailored for the foldable form. It’s described as created for people who are into large displays, better camera systems, and new creative and connectivity tools.

Rumors suggest an 8.2-inch primary display with a 6.5-inch cover screen, both larger than what’s on the current model. Under the hood, the foldable is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and could sport a camera setup comprising a 200MP primary sensor, a 10MP telephoto lens, and a 12MP ultra-wide shooter, significantly upgrading the 50MP main camera of the Galaxy Z Fold 6. With the launch now possibly just weeks away and teaser campaigns already in motion, more official details about the Galaxy Z Fold 7’s features and availability in India are expected to surface soon.
