In 2024, there were rumors that Samsung might revive the Watch 4 and Tab S6 Lite. The Tab S6 Lite did indeed come with a new processor at launch. “Galaxy Watch FE” will be the name under which the updated Galaxy Watch 4 will be released.

Samsung Galaxy Watch FE launch details and specifications

It is not heartening to hear that the Watch FE’s specifications are reportedly extremely comparable to those of the Galaxy Watch4 from 2021. It appears that the Galaxy Watch4 (2024) model that Samsung was said to be releasing has since been renamed as the Galaxy Watch FE.

The formal release of the Samsung Galaxy Watch FE model is scheduled for the global, American, and Korean markets. The SM-R866F, SM-R866U, and SM-R866N are the model numbers of the new smartwatch.

Although the specific specifications are unknown, it is anticipated to be quite similar to the previously announced Galaxy Watch4 and to arrive at a lesser cost than the future Galaxy Watch7 series. Consider the Samsung Galaxy Watch FE as what the Apple Watch SE is to Apple, or as a more cost-effective choice meant to introduce users to wearable technology.

The final letters of the model numbers, F, U, and N, stand for Global, US, and Korea, respectively. Furthermore, the Galaxy Watch 4 model number is SM-R860F. It is confirmed that a new version of the Galaxy Watch 4 will be released by the model numbers being similar.
