Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2025 May Reveal Foldables, Watch 8

Samsung is likely to host its second Galaxy Unpacked event of 2025 in early July, with July 10 being the most anticipated date, though the company has yet to officially confirm it. Based on previous trends, this timeline aligns well, and rumors suggest that the event will take place in New York. With invitations out to tender, a formal announcement is due by the end of June.

Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2025 Could Bring Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, Galaxy Watch 8, and One UI 8 on July 10

The next Unpacked event is looking very much like summer’s main event, as Samsung teases its next-generation foldables, particularly the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The teaser shows a slimmer frame and better durability. The Z Fold 7 will reportedly come with an 8-inch main screen and a 6.5-inch cover screen, however, which is a slightly larger display configuration compared to its predecessor. Chipset-wise, it could be powered by either the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 “Elite” or Exynos 2500, depending on the region.

A significant upgrade could come in the form of a 200MP main camera, which should greatly enhance photo quality. In addition to the Fold 7, Samsung is also expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Flip 7. This clamshell model may receive a notable redesign, including a larger 4-inch cover display (up from 3.4 inches) to improve usability. Internally, it might run on the Exynos 2500 processor and feature a larger 4300mAh battery. The Galaxy Watch 8 series is also likely to make its debut.

The Galaxy Watch 8 Classic may return with a 47mm rotating bezel, a 1.5-inch display, and a 435mAh battery. Meanwhile, the standard Galaxy Watch 8 could switch to MicroLED display technology and offer upgraded health features. There are also whispers of a Galaxy Watch Ultra in the works. Lastly, Samsung is expected to reveal One UI 8 based on Android 16. A beta version is already rolling out for Galaxy S25 devices, alongside the One UI 8 Watch beta, which focuses on enhanced health tracking capabilities.
