The Samsung Galaxy S25 series is one of the most anticipated smartphone launches of the year, and the rumor mill has been buzzing with speculation about its processor lineup. While earlier leaks hinted at a mix of Snapdragon 8 Elite and Exynos 2500 chips across different regions, the latest Geekbench listing suggests that the international Galaxy S25 model might exclusively feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite. Could this mean Samsung is finally going all-in on Snapdragon for its flagship series? Let’s dive into the details.

Samsung Galaxy S25 International Model Spotted on Geekbench with Snapdragon 8 Elite: What We Know So Far

Geekbench Listing Reveals Key Specs

The international variant of the Samsung Galaxy S25 (model code SM-S931B) recently appeared on Geekbench, giving us a glimpse of its performance and hardware. Here’s what we know so far:

Processor: Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset.
Operating System: Runs on Android 15, ensuring the latest software experience.
RAM: Comes with 12GB of RAM, making it a multitasking powerhouse.
Geekbench Scores:
- Single-Core: 2,986
- Multi-Core: 9,355

While these scores are slightly lower than other Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered devices tested so far, it’s important to note that this could be a prototype unit. The final retail version is expected to deliver even better performance.

Snapdragon vs. Exynos: A Shift in Strategy?

Earlier this month, the Galaxy S25+ was spotted on Geekbench with the Exynos 2500 chip, fueling speculation that Samsung might continue its dual-processor strategy—Snapdragon for some regions and Exynos for others. However, the appearance of the Snapdragon 8 Elite in the international Galaxy S25 model suggests a potential shift toward a Snapdragon-only lineup for the S25 series.

This move would align with Samsung’s recent trend of prioritizing Snapdragon chips in its flagship devices, especially after the Galaxy S23 series received widespread praise for its Snapdragon-powered performance across all regions.

What Makes the Snapdragon 8 Elite Special?

The Snapdragon 8 Elite is Qualcomm’s most advanced chipset yet, designed to deliver top-tier performance, efficiency, and AI capabilities. Here’s why it’s a big deal for the Galaxy S25:

Blazing-Fast Performance: Built on a cutting-edge architecture, the Snapdragon 8 Elite ensures smooth multitasking, gaming, and app performance.
Enhanced AI Features: Improved AI processing for smarter camera features, voice recognition, and more.
Battery Efficiency: Optimized power consumption for longer battery life, even with heavy usage.
Next-Level Connectivity: Support for Wi-Fi 7 and 5G, ensuring lightning-fast internet speeds.

Galaxy S25 Series: What to Expect

The Samsung Galaxy S25 series is rumored to include three models: the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Here’s what we can expect from the lineup:

Galaxy S25: The standard model, likely to feature a compact design with flagship-level performance.
Galaxy S25+: A larger variant with a bigger battery and possibly enhanced camera features.
Galaxy S25 Ultra: The ultimate flagship, expected to come with a 200 MP camera, S Pen support, and the best of Samsung’s hardware and software innovations.

The series is rumored to go official later this month, so we won’t have to wait long to get all the details.
