Samsung is gearing up to launch its next-generation Galaxy S-series flagship smartphones in the form of the Galaxy S22 lineup. Unlike last year, the devices could be announced in February rather than January.
Now, a new report from Jon Prosser indicates that while the Galaxy S22 Series will be up for pre-orders from the 9th of February. The device will not be available for purchase in a few days of getting announced.
Instead, the report claims that customers will have to wait till the 25th of Feb to be able to purchase the devices. The delay in the availability of the upcoming Galaxy S22 Series smartphones is being attributed to supply chain issues, but for now, we do not know much about exactly are the issues plaguing the company.
The global chip shortage has impacted several companies across the world and the South Korean giant has also been a victim to the same. Samsung has had to delay the launch of its Galaxy S21 FE a few times and it is now set to go official the next month.
Samsung’s new Galaxy S22 lineup will be powered by either the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip or the Exynos 2200 chip, depending on the region in which it releases.
The smartphones are expected to come pre-packed with the One UI 4.1, which is expected to be a small update. The new update of One UI will be unveiled for the previous generation Galaxy S-series devices.
Based on recent leaks, the best model in the lineup, the Galaxy S22 Ultra/Note is claimed to have two variants, a 12GB RAM with either 128GB or 256GB storage, and a 16GB RAM+512GB storage.
The Galaxy S22 Series will begin from $799 or 60,302 INR.
