Samsung’s A-series just got its latest refresh, and the Galaxy A27 brings a meaningful design change alongside a chipset upgrade — though not every spec moved in the right direction.
What’s New on the Galaxy A27
According to Smartprix’s launch report, the Galaxy A27 ditches the older notch-style cutout for a centered Infinity-O punch-hole display — a small but welcome design refresh over the Galaxy A26.

A Few Steps Back, A Few Steps Forward
Interestingly, the camera specs aren’t a straightforward upgrade. The ultra-wide sensor drops from 8MP to 5MP, and the selfie camera goes from 13MP to 12MP — though Samsung claims the new front camera produces more natural-looking results across varied lighting. The real gains lie in the chipset bump to Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 and the refreshed display design.
AI Features Take Center Stage
Samsung is leaning heavily on software this generation. Circle to Search now supports searching multiple objects at once and even lets users virtually try on outfits from search results. The phone also gets Object Eraser and a Voice Recorder that transcribes and translates in up to 22 languages.
On the assistant side, the Galaxy A27 supports Google Gemini, Perplexity, and Bixby — with Bixby now functioning as a conversational device agent that can control settings using natural language commands.

Pricing and Availability
The Galaxy A27 will be available in Black, Blue, Light Green, and Light Pink starting July 3 in India. Samsung hasn’t confirmed Indian pricing yet, but the US price starts at $349.99 — which roughly translates to the ₹28,000–₹32,000 bracket once Indian pricing is finalized, based on historical A-series patterns.

The Bottom Line
The Galaxy A27 isn’t a dramatic overhaul, but the Infinity-O display, chipset bump, and expanded AI feature set make it a sensible step forward for Samsung’s A-series. The camera downgrades are a minor blemish, but with six years of software support promised, this remains a long-term-friendly buy once Indian pricing lands on July 3.
