Samsung released the Galaxy A22 4G alongside the A22 5G at the beginning of June in Europe. Samsung has launched the 4G variant of the Galaxy A22 in India without any public teasers or release information.

The Galaxy A22 4G has been released with a price tag of Rs.18,499($248) is now on sale at Samsung’s official store. The device has been released for a cheaper price in India than in Europe, where it carries a price tag of $278.

Specs-wise, the Galaxy A22 features a 6.4″ Super AMOLED Infinity-U display with an HD+ resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels. The display also supports a 90Hz refresh rate along with a 20:9 aspect ratio.

Powered by the MediaTek Helio G80 Processor, it comes with 6GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage on the device. The user can expand their storage up to 256GB via a MicroSD card.

The Galaxy A22 4G comes with a quad-camera setup at the rear which has a main 48MP sensor along with an 8MP ultrawide sensor, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor with an F2.4 aperture. The main sensor comes with OIS and autofocus.

The Galaxy A22 4G comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and is packed with a massive 5000mAh battery with support for 15W fast charging. The phone will run on Android 11 Ubased OneUI 3.1 out-of-the-box.

The Galaxy A22 will support Samsung Pay, Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac, NFC payments, Bluetooth 5.0, and a USB Type-C port. Samsung has released it in Black and Mint color variants.

  1. I actually like this smartphone and even the Mediatek Helio G80 processor in it. Seems to be a good option in budget.

    • Yes Ankit, Samsung has been killing it in the budget-range for a while, however they tend to be rebranding most of their devices a lot, which may irk some users off.

  2. The display section of this smartphone is really good and I think it has perfect camera as well. Good use of Mediatek gaming chipset.
