So far, we’ve seen some interesting display devices revealed by domestic manufacturers such as Samsung and LG at IMID 2021, which began on August 25 in Korea. Now, The South Korean tech giant Samsung unveils an innovative product at the IMID event 2021. The brand has showcased a Samsung AI speaker with a wraparound display that can turn into an open screen in mere seconds.
The video, presented by SparrowNews, shows a Samsung AI speaker wrapped in a huge 12.4-inch flexible OLED display that unfolds to show more information as needed.
As per the video from the Korean display exhibition, the new smart speaker has a cylindrical body with a 12.4 inch OLED screen wrapped around it. Moreover, a single tap on the proprietary app helps in converting the AI speaker into a large 12.4-inch panel. The changing of the matrix happens smoothly in a matter of seconds.
It is worth noting that the South Korean tech giant patented this device just a year ago and has already shown a working model. While this is only a prototype, it is likely that Samsung will release a commercial version of such a smart speaker in the next couple of years.
According to the sources, Samsung is also planning to introduce a 48inch flexible OLED panel accompanied by cinematic sound. It comes with a 34-inch monitor with a 144 HZ refresh rate.
It is noted that at the exhibition Samsung presented a foldable S-shaped gadget that can be folded and turned into a smartphone, and when unfolded you get a massive 17.3-inch tablet. LG, on the other hand, introduced an 88-inch OLED TV and a smart bed with a 55-inch transparent OLED screen
