Some interviews feel like a victory lap. This one feels like a heart-to-heart. Fresh off a Rs. 100 crore box office milestone, Samantha Ruth Prabhu sat down with Pinkvilla for an exclusive chat — and this time, the spotlight shifted from cinema to something far more personal: becoming a mother.

On Legacy and Craft
Asked how she’d like to be remembered two decades from now, Samantha said she’d rather leave audiences with a feeling — hope, courage, joy — than a trophy shelf. She spoke about wanting to be seen as someone unafraid to take risks, someone who pushed cinema toward more inclusive storytelling for the next generation.
On whether she prizes the process of acting over its impact, she called it a package deal: discovering a character is where her real joy lives, but a performance only feels complete once it reaches an audience and makes them feel something.
Stepping Into Motherhood
The most tender part of the conversation came when Samantha addressed her pregnancy directly. She shared that motherhood is something she’s wanted for a long time, and that she now carries a new sense of strength and purpose alongside her usual passion for everything she takes on. She described feeling grateful, still learning daily, and ready for whatever comes next.
