Sony’s PlayStation 5 and Microsofts Xbox Series X|Series S were the two most highly anticipated gaming consoles of all time. With both next-gen consoles already launched, gamers are rushing to their nearest outlets to purchase the next-gen consoles. As we have already passed the black Friday sales, we witnessed gamers flocking the retail shops and website to purchase the consoles for themselves.

“There’s always an item, or a few items, people, can’t find. The big hot item this year is Sony PlayStation 5 and Xbox from Microsoft. Those are the two new items that I keep hearing people ask for, especially at Best Buy and GameStop, and you just can’t find them right now.”

Due to the pandemic, many retail shops have suffered tremendous losses, and users have been pent up in their houses, glued to their TVs and PCs. The next-gen consoles bring along with the cutting-edge technology and exclusive titles that are worthy of praises. The number of gamers flocking to the retail website is so great that most of the retail websites have to take several drastic measures to limit crowds to their website.

According to sources, Google searches for gaming products were up again this week, and they have been recording high since the release of the consoles. Gamers have shown more interest in games like “World of Warcraft,” which saw a 96% increase in Google search after the launch of its latest expansion pack. EA Sports’ “FIFA Ultimate Team” was up 43% this week in search results. According to reports, “gaming headset” was also searched consistently as probably due to Sony planning to release new gaming head-gear for its PS5.
