Birthdays in Tollywood are never just birthdays — they’re launch pads. And Vijay Deverakonda’s 37th was no different. The makers of his upcoming action film Rowdy Janardhana celebrated the occasion by dropping a brand-new poster that shows exactly the kind of energy this film is packing — raw, rooted, and utterly ferocious. Keerthy Suresh added her own sweet touch with a birthday note that had fans going wild.

What the New Birthday Poster Reveals?
The new poster released by Sri Venkateswara Creations on Vijay’s birthday is a statement image — Keerthy Suresh’s character standing over Vijay’s Janardhana with her foot on him, while he holds a revolver. It’s a bold visual that captures the film’s central tension perfectly: a man who fights the world, but surrenders only to love.
The team’s message with the poster said it all: “A man who fights the world…but surrenders only to love. Wishing our Rowdy Janardhana, Vijay Deverakonda, a very Happy Birthday.”
Keerthy Suresh reposted it with a punchy five-word note — “Happy Birthday, Rowdy!” — short, playful, and very on-brand for the film’s vibe.
What We Already Know About the Film
The earlier title glimpse made one thing absolutely clear — this is not the clean-cut, well-dressed Vijay fans have seen before. In Rowdy Janardhana, he is completely transformed:
| Element | Details |
|---|---|
| Character Look | Long hair, thick twirled moustache |
| Costume | Lungi during action sequences |
| Accent | East Godavari Telugu — dubbed by Vijay himself |
| Character Claim | “In this region, many call themselves Rowdy — but only I’ve earned it as my name” |
| Multi-language Dubbing | Vijay personally dubbed all 4 language versions |
Director Ravi Kiran Kola previously helmed Raja Vaaru Rani Gaaru and wrote Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam. Composer Christo Xavier, fresh off the acclaimed Bramayugam, brings his distinct atmospheric sound to the project.
Vijay’s Packed 2026 Calendar
Rowdy Janardhana isn’t the only big one on the horizon. Vijay is also starring in Ranabaali — a period action film opposite his wife Rashmika Mandanna — set to release on September 11, 2026, making it one of the most anticipated husband-wife on-screen collaborations in recent Telugu cinema.
