Khaleel Ahmed Enters Unwanted Record Books

Before this match, Khaleel was enjoying a strong IPL 2025 with 14 wickets to his name. But Shepherd’s dreadful assault handed him the dubious honor of bowling the most expensive over of the season and one of the costliest in IPL history.

The Match Impact

Earlier in the innings, fifties from Virat Kohli and Jacob Bethell gave RCB a strong platform. But it was Shepherd’s finishing fireworks that pushed the total beyond CSK’s reach. His knock not only rescued the innings but may well become the defining moment of IPL 2025’s death-over batting.
