SonyLIV has dropped the trailer of the upcoming series ‘Rocket Boys’. This series is starring Jim Sarabhai in the role of nuclear physicist Ishwak Singh as physicist and Vikram Sarabhai as an astronomer.
We have seen the first teaser of the series on 15th August 2021. It just only featured the two scenes from the show that was a party of men and women hearing Jawaharlal Nehru delivering the “At the stroke of the midnight hour’ speech on the radio and also Bhabha and Sarabhai who are basically discussing the future of a free India. The second teaser was dropped on 30th October on Dr. Homi J Bhabha’s 112th birth anniversary.
Rocket Boys: Plot
The new trailer shows how Vikrama and Homi met for the first and become friends and guided India into taking the first steps to become a nuclear superpower. It also contains the cameos of the first prime minister of the country Jawaharlal Nehru and also everyone’s favorite president APJ Abdul Kalam.
Jim told about the role, “ Taking on the role of Homi Bhabha is extremely special, partly because of our shared Parsi heritage but mostly because of the interesting, driven, Renaissance man he was,” he is also very famous for his work in Padmavaat, Made in Heaven and Neerja.
Ishwak became a popular face after starring in Amazon Prime Series Patal Lok. On talking about Rocket Boys he said, “ We often hear about biopics on sportspersons and freedom fighters, but the concept of Rocket Boys on to the life of India’s science heroes, really grabbed my attention when I heard the script for the first time.”

This series has been created by the filmmaker Nikkhil Advani, Roy Kapur Films, and Emimay Entertainment and is directed by Abhay Pannu.

This SonyLIV series will hit on 4th February 2022.
