What Happened in Episodes 1 & 2?

The premiere opened with heartbreak and rebellion, exploring how young Rob Locksley became the legendary outlaw. Set during the Norman invasion of England, the first episode established the brutal reality of Saxon oppression.

Episode 2 saw Joan pass away from grief, while Robin killed Captain Laforce in self-defense—a turning point that transformed him from Rob Locksley into a wanted fugitive. His forbidden romance with Marian Huntingdon was cut short when her father sent her away, adding emotional weight to Robin’s journey.

Episode 3 Preview: Tensions Escalate

After Huntingdon’s son’s death, tensions between Normans and Saxons will reach explosive new heights. The episode promises to raise the stakes significantly as Robin grapples with his new status as an outlaw.

Robin might find a crucial new ally in Little John, while Marian finally enters the royal court at Westminster. Her choices in the political arena could dramatically shift the balance between loyalty, love, and justice. The Sheriff’s pursuit intensifies, pushing Robin closer to embracing his destiny as the legendary freedom fighter.

Why This Robin Hood Is Different

The production feels raw and real, with Jack Patten’s performance as Robin standing out, while every frame feels rich and lived-in—from muddy villages to candlelit halls. Unlike fantasy-driven retellings, this version leans heavily on emotions, politics, and human weakness.

Set after the Norman invasion, this gritty series follows Rob’s transformation into the leader of rebel outlaws, while Marian infiltrates the court to bring justice from within. The modern tone and sweeping action sequences make it accessible to contemporary audiences while honoring the legend’s roots.
