Rob Lowe’s Netflix Documentary: 80s Stardom, Rare Footage and a 36-Year Sobriety Journey Arrive 24 November

Sometimes the best announcements are accidents. While chatting on Barstool Sports’ Chicks in the Office podcast, Rob Lowe let slip that Netflix has a documentary about his life on the way. Netflix hasn’t confirmed it, but Lowe seemed pretty sure.

Lowe was on the podcast to promote his indie comedy The Musical. When the host asked whether we’d ever get a documentary about the legendary 1980s night when the Brat Pack met the Rat Pack, Lowe said that specific night wasn’t on the cards. Then he mentioned that he believes Netflix will release a documentary about his life on 24 November. When the host joked that Netflix might cut the audio, Lowe’s reply was simple: you asked.

What Fans Can Expect?

According to Lowe, the film digs deep into his decades-long career using archival footage that had never been seen before. He teased:

• Original auditions for The Outsiders
• Behind-the-scenes clips from the sets of his classic movies
• Talk-show appearances from when he was a baby

The documentary is also said to cover his Brat Pack years, what 1980s fame was like without phones or social media, and his 36-year sobriety journey.
