Strategic Focus Areas

Visakhapatnam as Digital Hub: The partnership positions Visakhapatnam as a next-generation mixed-use and digital infrastructure hub. RMZ will develop a Global Capability Centre (GCC) at Kapuluppada Phase-1 IT Park with up to 10 million square feet of built-up area, designed to attract global enterprises and strengthen the city’s technology ecosystem.

Hyperscale Data Centre Cluster: A major component is the planned 1-gigawatt data centre cluster in the Visakhapatnam region. Developed in phases across 500-700 acres, this platform will support next-generation digital and AI workloads with strong emphasis on sustainability and green power integration.

Rayalaseema Industrial Growth: In the Rayalaseema region, RMZ will develop an Industrial and Logistics Park at Tekulodu spanning approximately 1,000 acres. This anchors industrial manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics activity aimed at balanced regional growth and employment generation.

What the Leaders Say

“Andhra Pradesh has consistently been at the forefront of technological advancement and GCC expansion in India,” says Nara Lokesh, Hon’ble Minister for ITE&C and Human Resources Development. “By partnering with a credible organization like RMZ, we’re reinforcing our ability to attract global enterprises and sustain technology-led growth.”

Manoj Menda, Chairman of RMZ’s Supervisory Board, explains: “Andhra Pradesh’s clarity of vision and commitment to balanced regional development give long-term investors confidence to deploy capital at scale. We aim to create globally benchmarked IT, data centre, and industrial ecosystems that attract global enterprises and generate meaningful employment.”

RMZ’s Track Record

RMZ is one of Asia’s leading privately owned alternative asset operators with over 70 million square feet of real assets across six major Indian cities. The firm manages assets exceeding $20 billion and operates through an integrated owner-operator model combining development, operations, and capital management.

Founded in 2002 and headquartered in India, RMZ follows a build-to-hold philosophy focused on creating vital real assets and large-scale urban environments that support enterprise growth and long-term economic development.

Timeline and Impact

The proposed developments represent approximately $10 billion in investment over five to six years, with capacity to generate employment for around one lakh people across IT, data centres, industrial, and logistics sectors.

Andhra Pradesh has reaffirmed its commitment to speed of doing business through single-point facilitation, time-bound clearances, and predictable policy frameworks—factors that strengthen investor confidence.
