RESCENE’s Geoje Homecoming Left Them In Happy Tears, And It Shows

Viral fame is fun, but going back to where it all started hits differently. That’s the emotional core of RESCENE’s upcoming appearance on MBC’s The Manager, where the group opens up their dorm doors and revisits the city that made them internet-famous.

What The Preview Shows

The clip opens with a montage of RESCENE during their early, lesser-known days, before cutting to Minami and Woni’s viral “Geoje yaho” moment — the meme that suddenly catapulted the group into the spotlight. From there, viewers get a rare, first-time look inside the members’ dorm, complete with casual hangouts, borrowed outfits, and Woni’s candid admission that the group shares just one bathroom.

The real emotional turn comes when all five members travel to Geoje itself, where a red carpet awaits them. Recognized by local residents, the members are visibly moved, and Woni tears up. Later, over a meal, the group reminisces about their pre-fame struggles, including moments they weren’t able to perform on music shows despite wanting to — before Woni lightens the mood, joking that “Geoje women don’t cry.”

RESCENE: Overview

Why Geoje Matters To This Story

Geoje, South Korea’s second-largest island known for its shipbuilding industry and coastal scenery, holds special meaning here as the city tied to RESCENE’s breakout viral moment — making this episode as much a tribute to their fans as a look inside their daily lives.
