Remembering the spin legend Shane Warne after his 1st death anniversary

March 4 which went a few days before marks the death anniversary of the Australian legend Shane Warne. Last year, on this day he passed away following a sudden heart attack in Thailand. He was 52 during his death.

Shane Warne’s untimely demise left the cricket world in shock. On his death anniversary, his family members, and numerous cricket lovers remember him by sharing heartfelt messages, clips, and pictures on social sites. 

Cricket Australia remembers their soon legend too and paid their tribute to their star. Taking to the official Instagram handle, Cricket Australia posted a clip of Warne’s sensational wicket-taking deliveries. The post was captioned as, 

“Bowled, Warne.”

The spin wizard has had some extraordinary spells for his nation. His the second-highest wicket-taker in test with a mammoth 708 wickets in his cabinet, standing just after the Sri Lankan legend Muttiah Muralitharan who has 800 wickets beside his name. 

Sachin Tendulkar pens a heartfelt note

Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar shared a heartfelt message, remembering his ‘friend’ on his death anniversary. Taking to his Twitter handle, the 49-year-old great wrote, 

“We have had some memorable battles on the field and shared equally memorable moments off it. I miss you not only as a great cricketer but also as a great friend. I am sure you’re making heaven a more charming place than it ever was with your sense of humor and charisma, Warnie!”

The on-field battle between Tendulkar and Warne had been a treat to watch among cricket lovers over the globe. Remembering his on-field conflicts with Warne, Tendulkar had once shared, 

“It was always a challenge to play him. Even if he was not having a good day and bowling the last over, you knew Warnie was up to something. Warnie just won’t let you bat peacefully.” 

World cricket will always remember the great Shane Warne for the outstanding contributions he had to his country.
