Redmi Smart TV X 2022 launched with a 120Hz refresh rate display in China

On October 20, Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi announced the new Redmi Smart TV X 2022 with a 120Hz refresh rate in China. Last year, Redmi launched the Redmi X series of Smart TVs, which quickly grew their own customer base. Redmi’s goal of delivering high-end features at low pricing sparked a lot of interest. On Chinese e-commerce platforms such as TMall and JD.com, the Redmi X series of televisions has been a best-seller. Redmi has unveiled the new Redmi Smart TV X 2022 in China, building on the popularity of the previous generation. So let’s have a look at all the details.

Redmi Smart TV X 2022 specifications 

The Redmi Smart TV X is designed to be an all-metal full-screen TV while having a full-array backlight panel. There are two available sizes for the Redmi Smart TV X – 55-inch and 65-inch. The panels are rated at 4K with 3840×2160 pixels and a distinctive 120Hz refresh rate. Distinctive because the panel supports 120Hz MEMC which improves the quality of dynamic subjects and reduces smears. The panel has a response time of 6.5ms, 10-bit colour depth (8bit + FRC), and support for 94% P3 colour gamut. The Redmi Smart TV X 2022 also supports FreeSync and Dolby Vision. 

As a smart TV, it is essential that the Redmi TV packs in some good processing hardware. It promises high-end performance by using the 22nm octa-core MediaTek MTK 9650 same as the one on Xiaomi Mi TV Master Edition. The MediaTek MTK 9650 consists of a quad-core A73 1.5GHz CPU and a Mali-G52 2EE MC1 GPU and is paired to 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The Redmi Smart TV X 2022 delivers up to 1T of AI computing power and supports AI-PQ, AI -AQ intelligent audio, and picture adjustment. 

The sound department is taken care of by 4 speakers, 2 air ducts and a sealed box with a 2×0.38L large sound cavity with a combined output capacity of 2 x 12.5W. The Redmi Smart TV X 2022 supports Dolby Atmos. In terms of connectivity, the Redmi Smart TV X gets two HDMI 2.0 (eARC) ports, one HDMI 2.1 (4K120Hz) port, one AV, one ATV/DTMB, two USB interfaces, one S/PDIF, one RJ-45 and four microphones to support far-field voice.

Redmi Smart TV X 2022 Pricing

The Redmi Smart TV X 2022 costs ¥2699 (about ₹30,773) for the 55-inch model and ¥3499 (roughly ₹39,894) for the 65-inch variant. The TVs are presently on pre-order in China, with delivery beginning on October 31st. JD.com, Xiaomi Mall, and Xiaomi Youpin all have it available on their website.
