Redmi Note 12 with 6.67″ 120Hz OLED display, Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 launched

Redmi launched the Note 12 Pro series at its event in China. The company launched three phones, namely the Note 12 Pro 5G, Note 12 Pro+ 5G and the Note 12 Explorer Edition. The company has launched the Redmi Note 12 5G as its fourth smartphone in the lineup.

The Note 12 5G sits at the bottom of the lineup. It features a Snapdragon processor under the hood. The phone also gets an OLED display. Let’s take a look at the Redmi Note 12 5G price, specifications and other details.

Note 12 features 6.67-inch full-HD (1,080×2,400 pixels) Samsung display with up to 120Hz refresh rate and up to 240Hz touch sampling rate. The display has a hole-punch design and offers a peak brightness of up to 1200nits. It runs Android 12-based MIUI 13 out of the box.

t houses a dual camera system on the rear comprising a 48MP primary snapper and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, it has an 8MP shooter for selfies and video calls. The device comes with features like Portrait mode, Timelapse, Night Mode, etc.

Under the hood, the vanilla Redmi Note 12 has a 6nm octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC, along with an Adreno 619 GPU and up to 8GB of RAM. It offers up to 256GB UFS2.2 onboard storage that supports expansion via microSD card (up to 512GB). The vanilla variant, Redmi Note 12 5G, packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.

The device comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and support for AI face unlock. It weighs about 188 grams and is 7.98mm thick.  It offers connectivity options, like dual SIM, 5G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, GNSS, and USB Type-C.

The Redmi Note 12 5G comes in Black, White and Blue colours, is priced at 1199 yuan (US$ 165 / Rs. 13,645 approx.) for 4GB + 128GB, 1299 yuan (US$ 179 / Rs. 14,790 approx.) for 6GB + 128GB, 1399 yuan (US$ 193 / Rs. 15,930 approx.) for 8GB + 128GB and 1599 yuan (US$ 220 / Rs. 18,200 approx.) for 8GB + 256GB model. It is available to order and will go on sale in China from October 31st.
