Red Velvet’s “Russian Roulette” has crossed 300 million YouTube views—their third music video to reach the mark. For a 2016 track built on sweet smiles and spinning chaos, it’s less a surprise and more a reminder: some K-pop eras age like fine mischief.

Red Velvet Overview

Quick Read	What It Means
Milestone	“Russian Roulette” hits 300M YouTube views
Rank	Red Velvet’s third MV to reach the mark
Release era	2016—still pulling in new listeners
Why it works	Catchy hook, quirky concept, sharp choreography
Fan takeaway	A cult favourite that became a catalogue staple

The song still works because it’s quietly weird. Bright vocals, playful visuals and an unsettling little edge—that contrast is Red Velvet’s signature. The roulette concept gave the group a visual identity beyond generic pop, and new fans keep discovering it.

Three MVs at 300M is a consistency story, not a viral fluke. It proves the group’s catalogue has legs beyond comeback week. Some hits fade after the trend cycle; this one keeps spinning. For context on the group’s discography, see Red Velvet on Wikipedia.

Why the milestone matters: K-pop view counts often reflect fandom speed, but a 2016 track hitting 300M years later is staying power. It also hands newer groups a useful lesson—concept can outlive a trend. A memorable world beats a forgettable chorus.

The human takeaway: “Russian Roulette” wasn’t designed to be timeless. It was designed to be fun. That’s exactly why it lasted. Some songs chase relevance; this one just kept being itself.
