A job seeker who can’t stay dead is about to hit theatres, and the newly released stills for Reawaken Man: The Red prove this one’s going to be a wild ride. Based on a popular webtoon, the film introduces Koo Kyo Hwan as Seok Hwan, an unemployed man whose only real talent is unfounded confidence — until death itself hands him an extraordinary power.
After dying, Seok Hwan discovers he can resurrect exactly 72 hours later. What starts as a bizarre personal mystery quickly spirals into something far more dangerous, as he becomes the target of a relentless, mysterious pursuit.
What the New Stills Reveal in Reawaken Man?
| Character | Actor | Role in the Story |
|---|---|---|
| Seok Hwan | Koo Kyo Hwan | Job seeker who gains the power to resurrect |
| Black | Shin Seung Ho | Mysterious pursuer who can control others’ actions |
| Young Ha | Kang Ki Young | Seok Hwan’s loyal, comic-relief best friend |
| Ye Rin | Kim Si Ah | Seok Hwan’s sister and key ally in solving cases |
One striking still shows Seok Hwan opening his eyes exactly 72 hours after death, capturing just how dramatically his once-ordinary life has flipped overnight. In another, he’s sporting a bold red hairstyle and throwing himself fearlessly into action — even leaping over vehicles with his bare hands. As Seok Hwan grows stronger with every death and resurrection, a separate still showing him being apprehended by police only raises more questions about the danger ahead.
The Central Rivalry
The stills also give fans their first proper look at Black, played by Shin Seung Ho — a figure who can control other people’s actions at will, but whose power has zero effect on Seok Hwan. Their face-off in one of the images hints at an intense, unyielding confrontation where neither side is willing to back down.
Rounding out the cast dynamics, Kang Ki Young’s Young Ha brings comic energy and blunt honesty as Seok Hwan’s most dependable friend, while Kim Si Ah’s Ye Rin, his younger sister, plays a crucial role in tracking down clues alongside him.
