“Reawaken Man: The Red” Character Posters Reveal a Reluctant Hero Who Just Won’t Stay Dead

What if dying was just a temporary setback? That’s the strange gift at the heart of “Reawaken Man: The Red,” and its newly released character posters are already teasing the chaos, loyalty, and mystery that come with it.

The Premise

Based on a webtoon, the film follows Seok Hwan (Koo Kyo Hwan), an unemployed job seeker whose only real qualification is unearned confidence. After dying unexpectedly, he discovers something impossible — he comes back to life 72 hours later, growing stronger with each resurrection. Naturally, that kind of power doesn’t go unnoticed, and Seok Hwan soon becomes the target of a mysterious pursuit.

Why These Posters Are Getting Attention

Each poster leans into a different emotional register while staying tied to Seok Hwan’s arc. His own poster projects fearless confidence, setting up the film’s action-heavy tone. Black’s poster, by contrast, hints at a far more complicated connection — one that suggests he and Seok Hwan may share more in common than expected. Meanwhile, Young Ha’s reaction captures genuine confusion at his friend’s sudden transformation, and Ye Rin’s steady resolve signals she won’t stop searching for answers.

Together, the posters paint a story built around resurrection, pursuit, and the people who get pulled into someone else’s impossible situation — a theme that echoes classics of the broader superhero genre, even as this film carves its own distinctly Korean identity.
