Chinese phone-maker Realme has been gaining momentum in recent years, offering high-spec and feature-heavy handsets at affordable prices. The company, which launched in 2018 as an offshoot of Oppo and BBK Electronics, has a range of devices alongside Android phones, including earbuds, smartwatches and accessories. Soon, a tablet will join the Realme line-up for the first time. Known as the Realme Pad, the slate is believed to be launching later this year with the company’s first go at a laptop, currently called the Realme Book. While much is still a mystery about the tablet, leaks and renders have started to surface online.
Certain key details about the display size and dimensions of the tablet have been revealed as well. Going by the latest leak, the Realme Pad will feature a large 10.4-inches display. Additionally, the design renders reveal a basic slab kind of a design . We can see a protruding rear camera alongside flat sides. From the looks of it, the Realme Pad design is very similar to the iPad Pro 2020.
When it comes to the dimensions of the upcoming Realme tablet, it measures 246.1 x 155.8 x 6.8mm. Going by the renders, the tablet will have a Greyish Black color variant. However, we can expect to see a couple other color variants upon the tablet’s official launch.
Moreover, going by previous leaks, the Realme Pad will pack a massive 7,100mAh battery. Additionally, the battery comes with the model number of BLT001. The battery appeared in a certification website, which revealed this piece of information.
Moreover, the recently leaked in-hand live images did not have the Realme branding. However, the latest design renders do reveal the branding at the back. The Realme branding goes along a straight line and through the camera module. Then, this line goes on to facilitate the dual-tone finish of the upcoming tablet. At the front, we can see thick bezels all around the display. Additionally, the single selfie sensor is located right at the center.
Furthermore, one side of the tablet frame houses the power button and dual speaker setup. Meanwhile, the other side of the frame is home to a USB Type-C port and two additional speakers. The volume rockers are situated near the camera module alongside what seems like a microSD card slot.
Realme has not confirmed a release date for its new tablet at the time of writing, however, some online speculation suggests that the tablet may surface in August or October 2021.
