Realme GT 2 and GT 2 Pro officially launched with the Snapdragon 888 chip and the 8 Gen 1 chip in China

The Realme GT 2 Series has finally been launched in China today, the latest flagship series from Realme has been in the works for a long time and we have been hearing rumors about it for a while now. The Series has two models, the Realme GT 2 and the Realme GT 2 Pro.

Realme GT 2

The Realme GT 2 is the base variant of Realme’s latest flagship series. The GT 2 comes with a 6.62″ Full HD+ AMOLED E4 display with a refresh rate of 120Hz.

The latest flagship comes with the Snapdragon 888 chipset paired with 8GB/12GB RAM variants and 128 GB/256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

Realme has integrated its latest and best industrial heat dissipation technology along with stainless steel vapor cooling, which has the potential to cool the device by up to 3-degree Celsius for maximum performance.

Coming to the camera specs of the Realme GT 2, the device has a triple-camera setup with a primary 50MP Sony IMX776 sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro shooter.

On the front, it sports a 16MP selfie shooter.

In terms of connectivity options, the Realme GT 2 arrives with support for Wi-Fi 6, 5G, Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC connectivity.

The device has a 5,000mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging via a USB Type-C port.

The Realme GT 2 is on sale for an early bird price of CNY 2,599 or 30,400 INR for the base 8GB RAM+128GB variant while the prices for the 8GB RAM+256GB variant and the 12GB RAM+256GB variant has not yet been revealed.

Realme has not left any stone unturned when it comes to providing color options, the GT 2 comes in Paper Green, Paper White, Steel Black, and Titanium Blue color options.

Realme GT 2 Pro

The Realme GT 2 Pro features a 6.7″ 2K LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. As per Realme, the display offers a contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1 and it supports a maximum brightness of 1,400 nits.

The Realme GT 2 Pro comes with an A+ certification from DisplayMate, it is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.

The Realme GT 2 Pro features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, the best out there, the chip comes with the new Armv9 architecture.

It has been paired up with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. The smartphone is equipped with the company’s GT modem, which has upgrades such as AI frame stabilization 2.0 for improved gameplay and lower GPU power consumption.

The Realme GT 2 Pro has a 5,000mAh battery as well with support for 65W fast charging. The device has a relatively slim design with 8.18mm thickness and just weighs 189g.

Coming to the camera specs of the Realme GT 2 Pro, it has a triple camera setup with a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor that features a 1/1.56 sensor size, OIS, as well as electronic image stabilization, in addition to this, it comes with a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera with a 1/2.76 sensor size, a 150-degree field-of-view, and a 2MP macro sensor. It has a 16MP selfie shooter as well.

The Realme GT 2 Pro supports an advanced antenna matrix system for improved connectivity, Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, 5G, and NFC connectivity.

The Realme GT 2 Pro is priced at CNY 3,699 or 43,300 INR as part of a launch offer for the 8GB RAM+128GB storage base variant. It also comes in a 12GB RAM+256GB storage and a 12GB RAM+512GB variant as well, the prices for which are not yet known.

The Realme GT 2 Pro comes in Paper Green, Paper White, Steel Black, and Titanium Blue color variants.

Both the Realme GT 2 and the GT 2 Pro run on Android 12 OS with Realme UI 3.0 on top.

The Realme GT 2 Neo Dragon Ball Z variant

In addition to this, Realme has also announced a special version of the Realme GT Neo 2, in a Dragon Ball Z variant that will arrive in a 12GB RAM+256GB storage variant sold for CNY 2,999 or 34,200 INR.
