ANALYSIS: Real Madrid have prepared themselves for the next generation with their young players

Real Madrid have managed to sign new players to replace their old guard, and make the transition appear seamless. Their line-up, which dominated Spanish and European football between 15-16 and 17-18 eventually needed to be replaced.

The team won nine titles under Zinedine Zidane, three of which were consecutive Champions League titles. And despite showing cracks in 18/19, the team has bounced back in the best way possible and looks set for the future.

How Real Madrid have prepared themselves for the next generation

Los Blancos have managed to find their new attacking trio to replace Bale, Benzema and Ronaldo. The signing of Endrick was the final piece of the puzzle, which consists of Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo on either flank, completing the all-Brazilian attack.

Vinicius and Rodrygo have already started showing their quality, and have a couple La Liga titles, and a Champions League trophy under their belt. With time, they will only get better as they are able to handle more responsibility in the team.

The midfield trio of Kroos, Casemiro and Modric was also believed to be obsolete. But, while Casemiro has moved to Manchester United, Kroos and Modric have been as good as ever. Aurelien Tchouameni has joined the club for €80 million from Monaco, and has taken the Brazilian’s place in defensive midfield.

On the other hand, the team has Eduardo Camavinga and Fede Valverde who can complete the midfield trio. Three of the best young midfielders in the world could very well be the future of Real Madrid’s engine room. Whether or not Jude Bellingham will come into the picture amidst all of this now remains to be seen.
