Ready or Not 2: Samara Weaving’s Grace Returns for the Ultimate Survival Game

The blood-soaked bride is back, and this time the stakes are impossibly higher. Ready or Not 2: Here I Come picks up exactly where the 2019 cult horror-comedy left off, with Grace discovering she’s reached the next level of the nightmarish game—except now she’s fighting for more than survival.

What’s the Game This Time for Ready or Not 2?

After surviving the Le Domas family attack, Grace must face four rival families hunting her for the throne, with the winner ruling it all. The twist? Her estranged sister Faith (Kathryn Newton) joins the deadly hide-and-seek game, adding an emotional layer to the chaos.

Star-Studded Cast Joins the Hunt

The sequel brings heavyweight talent to Grace’s nightmare. Sarah Michelle Gellar plays Ursula, and even impales Grace slayer-style in the trailer—a perfect nod to her Buffy legacy. Elijah Wood adds his signature creepy charm, while legendary filmmaker David Cronenberg himself steps in front of the camera as Mr. Danforth.

Why This Sequel Matters

Directors Bettinelli-Olpin and Gillett, fresh from their Scream and Abigail successes, return with original writers Busick and Murphy. The filmmakers wanted to ensure this wasn’t just more of the same, deepening Grace’s story and character while maintaining the satirical edge that made the original a hit.

Weaving herself promises fans an experience that’s “so unhinged, absolutely cooked”, hinting at even more outrageous set pieces and dark comedy.

From Wedding Dress to War Zone

The original Ready or Not became an instant classic with its eat-the-rich satire wrapped in horror-comedy violence. That iconic final shot—Grace covered in blood, smoking on the manor steps—became a viral meme, cementing her status as a modern horror icon.
