Ramayana Movie — Everything You Need to Know

What Alia Said — And Why It Matters

Alia, speaking at a virtual event ahead of the teaser drop for Indian audiences, urged fans to support the film and share her excitement. She said Ranbir has done a beautiful job, and that the teaser is simply “out of this world.” Coming from someone who has seen the footage firsthand, these aren’t just obligatory spousal compliments — they’re a genuine preview of what awaits.

The first look of Ranbir as Lord Rama — the Maryada Purushottam, revered for centuries across billions of households — was first unveiled at an exclusive international event in Los Angeles before the Indian release on April 2. That decision alone signals the scale and global ambition the makers are chasing.

Ranbir’s Own Words on Playing Lord Rama

Ranbir’s words at the LA launch reveal how deeply he has internalized the role. He described Lord Rama as the conscience keeper of billions, adding that the character stands for compassion, courage, righteousness, and forgiveness. He called it one of the most profound acting responsibilities of his career.

This level of reverence from the actor himself makes one thing clear — this isn’t just another commercial film. It’s a cinematic offering to an ancient, living tradition.
