Ram Kapoor’s Rs 20 Crore Sea-Facing Mumbai Home That Feels Like a Movie Set

Some celebrity homes are built to impress. Ram Kapoor’s South Mumbai residence, on the other hand, feels built to live in — and that’s exactly what makes it so fascinating.

The beloved TV and film star, currently making headlines for his upcoming stint on Lock Upp 2, shares this stunning sea-facing apartment with wife Gautami Kapoor, their kids, and two dogs. Estimated at around Rs 20 crore, the home blends serious luxury with a surprisingly personal, lived-in charm.

A Home That Greets You Like a Vault

The experience starts right at the entrance, where a massive door — jokingly nicknamed the “vault gate” by their staff — opens via a keyless, facial-recognition entry system. Right beside it sits a custom glass installation reading “42 Kapoor,” etched in Ram’s own handwriting.

Where Design Meets Personality

The living room opens up to curved French windows overlooking the Arabian Sea, while the dining space lets the family enjoy sea views during meals. Ram’s favorite corner, though, is undoubtedly his high-tech entertainment room, complete with revolving speakers and a moody red-and-black palette — a clear nod to his love for cinema.

The home’s art collection adds another personal layer, featuring a prized original by M.F. Husain alongside a quirky portrait styled to resemble Pablo Escobar, with Ram’s own face.

From a spotless, sensor-equipped kitchen to a minimalist master bedroom designed purely for rest, the apartment proves that luxury doesn’t have to feel cold. Celebrity homes like this continue to fascinate fans, much like profiles of grand residences across Mumbai’s affluent neighborhoods often do.
