What a birthday gift — not just for Ram Charan, but for every fan waiting to see him in a brand-new avatar. On the occasion of the superstar’s 41st birthday on March 27, 2026, the makers of Peddi dropped the much-awaited teaser, and it’s everything a sports action drama should feel like — raw, rooted, and utterly powerful.

What the Teaser Shows
The Peddi teaser introduces Ram Charan as Peddi Pehelwan — a rugged and rustic character who takes his duties very seriously. He is seen loading piles of grains, displaying his sheer physical strength, before appearing in a wrestling ring wielding a Hanuman Gada, a traditional mace associated with wrestlers.
The teaser is short but hits hard. It’s earthy, cultural, and deeply rooted in the traditions of Indian wrestling (kushti) — and Ram Charan looks every bit the part. The kind of transformation that makes you sit up and pay attention.
The teaser was released in multiple regional languages by producers Vriddhi Cinemas and Mythri Movie Makers, signalling a wide, pan-India release ambition for the film.
The Team Behind Peddi
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi is currently under production and slated for a theatrical release on April 30, 2026. Buchi Babu Sana previously helmed the acclaimed Uppena, so expectations from his collaboration with Ram Charan are sky-high.
Reports have also indicated that Janhvi Kapoor is part of the cast, alongside a cameo dance number featuring Mrunal Thakur — adding some serious star power to the project. For more on Ram Charan’s upcoming projects and South Indian box office updates, keep checking TechnoSports.
Why This Film Matters
Ram Charan is riding high on the global success of RRR, and Peddi signals a deliberate shift — away from the grandiose period epic and into something more grounded and personal. A sport. A community. A fighter. That contrast makes this one of the most intriguing Telugu releases of 2026.
