Malayalam cinema just got a piece of news that’s hard to ignore. Director Rahul Sadasivan — the mind behind the hauntingly brilliant Bramayugam and the chilling Dies Irae — is reportedly gearing up for his next project, and if the buzz is anything to go by, it could feature two of the industry’s biggest names: Prithviraj Sukumaran and Manju Warrier. No official announcement yet, but this combination alone is enough to set the internet on fire.

Who Is Rahul Sadasivan?

If you haven’t watched Bramayugam yet, stop everything and fix that. Rahul Sadasivan is one of Malayalam cinema’s most distinctive horror auteurs — someone who builds dread through atmosphere rather than jump scares. His last directorial, Dies Irae, starring Pranav Mohanlal, followed a young man haunted by the malevolent spirit of a girl he once wronged. The film earned critical praise and is now streaming on JioHotstar. Learn more about the broader genre of Indian horror films on Wikipedia.

What’s the New Film About?

Details are scarce for now — which, honestly, feels very on-brand for a Rahul Sadasivan project. Reports indicate an official announcement is expected soon. Given his track record of blending folklore, psychological horror, and deeply human storytelling, whatever this collaboration turns out to be, it promises to be unmissable.

What Are the Stars Up To Right Now?

Prithviraj Sukumaran is keeping himself extremely busy. He recently wrapped I, Nobody (a political heist thriller co-starring Parvathy Thiruvothu) and is currently filming Khalifa: Part 1. He also has a major role in SS Rajamouli’s epic Varanasi alongside Mahesh Babu, and has announced Santhosh Trophy with director Vipin Das.

Manju Warrier, one of Malayalam cinema’s most celebrated actresses, is meanwhile set to appear alongside Kunchacko Boban in the upcoming Nere Chovva.

Both actors are at career peaks — making this potential pairing with Rahul Sadasivan an absolute dream team on paper.
