What Is Rafoo About?

This is not your typical will-they-won’t-they love story — it is messier, funnier, and far more relatable. Rafoo follows a struggling singer whose life turns upside down when he ends up living with his ex-mother-in-law, while his ex-wife — now with a new partner — lives in the flat directly above him.

As their lives continue to overlap, the line between past and present blurs, complicating what they assumed was firmly over. Think shared walls, shared history, and absolutely zero personal space. The script has been penned by Raghuvir Shekhawat, Shashank Bali, Sanjay Kohli, Zeenat Lakhani, and Vihaan Kohli — a team that clearly knows how to mine everyday awkwardness for big laughs.

Rafoo Cast & Creators

Maniesh Paul leads the series, with Angira Dhar playing his ex-wife. Both bring genuine warmth and comic timing to their roles.

The series is produced by Edit II — the production house behind beloved titles including Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, FIR, and May I Come in Madam? NewsBytes — so the comedy credentials here are rock solid.

Even Karan Johar has thrown his weight behind the show. He noted that one cast member shares his birthday, adding he is rooting “a little extra heart” for this one. NewsBytes
