Raaka Is Coming to Break Box Office Records — Here’s Why the SFX Supervisor Says It’s “Out of This World”

If you’ve been following the buzz around Allu Arjun and Atlee’s upcoming pan-Indian magnum opus Raaka, brace yourself — because the people working behind the scenes are dropping some seriously exciting hints. SFX supervisor Vishal Tyagi, in an exclusive conversation with Pinkvilla’s Hindi Rush, shared what fans can genuinely expect, and honestly? It sounds massive.

What Did Vishal Tyagi Actually Say About Raaka?

Tyagi didn’t hold back. He confidently stated that Raaka will “go to another level” and that its opening is set to be “out of this world.” Here’s a quick breakdown of his key revelations:

The Double Combo That Could Change Everything

Here’s the thing — Tyagi’s excitement isn’t just hype. It’s rooted in logic.

Atlee proved his pan-India reach with Jawan, which became one of Bollywood’s biggest blockbusters. Meanwhile, Allu Arjun already has one of the most passionate fan followings in Indian cinema, especially after Pushpa: The Rise and its record-shattering sequel.

As Tyagi put it, the combination of Atlee’s Bollywood credibility and Allu Arjun’s existing fanbase creates a “double combination” — meaning the film could draw audiences from both the Hindi belt and South India simultaneously.

According to Wikipedia’s overview of special effects in cinema, practical SFX supervised by experienced technicians can dramatically elevate the on-screen spectacle — making a film feel viscerally real in ways CGI alone simply cannot. With Tyagi on board, Raaka’s action sequences are clearly in safe, experienced hands.

The Rajinikanth Story — A Glimpse Into Tyagi’s Wild Career

One of the most entertaining moments from the interview? Tyagi recalled how Rajinikanth once called him “crazy” on set — because he would light a cigarette while setting up explosives! It’s the kind of dedication (and daring) that separates great SFX work from ordinary. If he brings even half that energy to Raaka, the action scenes are going to be something else.
