PUBG Mobile World Cup 2026: India’s GodLike Reach Grand Finals

Turkey’s S2G Esports were crowned champions of the PUBG Mobile World Cup 2026 at the Esports World Cup after a grueling nine-day gauntlet, but the tournament was also a landmark moment for Indian esports, with two Indian teams reaching the grand finals stage.

India’s Big Grand Finals Run

GodLike Esports and Orangutan (competing as Blind Esports) both fought through to the grand finals of the PUBG Mobile World Cup 2026, marking one of the strongest showings by Indian squads at a major global PUBG Mobile event in recent years. Reaching the final stage against the world’s best teams is itself a significant milestone for a scene that has had to rebuild much of its competitive infrastructure since PUBG Mobile’s earlier ban and later return to India.

A Nine-Day Battle for the Title

S2G Esports ultimately took the trophy after nine days of intense competition at the Esports World Cup, cementing Turkey’s growing presence on the global PUBG Mobile stage. The event drew some of the strongest rosters from across Asia, the Middle East, and beyond, making India’s two grand finalists’ performance even more notable given the depth of competition involved.

For Indian PUBG Mobile fans, seeing two homegrown teams simultaneously reach the grand finals of a tournament this size is a strong signal that the scene’s rebuilding efforts since the game’s return to India have started paying real competitive dividends on the world stage.

GodLike Esports has long been one of India’s most recognizable esports organizations, and a grand finals appearance at this level adds another significant achievement to a roster that has represented the country at multiple international events.

Orangutan’s run under the Blind Esports banner is equally notable, showing that India’s competitive depth in PUBG Mobile now extends beyond a single flagship organization, with multiple squads capable of competing at the very top level internationally.

The Esports World Cup has quickly established itself as one of the most prestigious stops on the global esports calendar, drawing massive prize pools and top-tier organizations across multiple titles. A PUBG Mobile World Cup 2026 grand finals appearance at an event of this scale carries considerable weight for any organization’s international reputation, and for India’s scene specifically, it arrives at a pivotal moment of renewed growth.

PUBG Mobile’s competitive scene in India has had a turbulent history, including a period when the game was unavailable in the country entirely before its eventual return under new branding and publishing arrangements. Seeing two Indian organizations reach the grand finals of a marquee global event like this is a strong indicator that the scene’s talent pipeline has recovered and, in some respects, grown stronger since that disruption.

For sponsors and organizers watching India’s growing appetite for esports viewership, results like this at the PUBG Mobile World Cup 2026 give a concrete data point to point to when making the case for continued investment in the country’s competitive gaming ecosystem, beyond just casual mobile gaming’s massive user base.

TechnoSports will continue tracking India’s PUBG Mobile scene as GodLike Esports and Orangutan build on this grand finals run heading into future international tournaments.

Both teams’ fan bases will be hoping this is only the beginning of a stronger run at global tournaments in the seasons ahead.

It was a proud moment for Indian esports fans watching from home.
